1616Y is currently ranked in the top 10 in the world by multiple metrics and has achieved an incredible 71-1 record on the year, with their only loss in the finals at their first local tournament of the season.

CONGRATULATIONS to the DTSOI Jr. High Quiz Bowl team! They are BACK 2 BACK 7A State Co-Champs! In February, they competed in the 7A Championship for Jr. High Quiz Bowl! They went undefeated and won the red bracket of play! Roger Coridan was also the Red Bracket MVP with an average of over 20 questions correct per round!

Having both our Symphonic Band and Advanced Treble Choir recognized and featured is an extraordinary accomplishment and speaks to the remarkable talent, preparation, and commitment of our students. It is truly an honor to be selected as an Arkansas Honor Ensemble, and it is especially remarkable to have two ensembles from the same school performing at this prestigious conference.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding performances. They represented our school, district, and city with excellence, professionalism, and heart.
A special thank you to Mrs. Kee and Mr. Vinzant, who worked tirelessly to lead these groups to success. Mr. Vinzant even composed one of the pieces performed by the band — an incredible achievement that made the performance even more meaningful.
We are proud to announce that Mrs. Amber Stout has been named the Don Tyson School of Innovation Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Stout goes above and beyond every day to support students in grades 6–12 at DTSOI. Her kind spirit, unwavering dedication, and exceptional knowledge of literacy and reading are second to none. She makes a lasting impact on students across our campus, helping them grow not only as readers but as confident learners.
Today and all year long, we celebrate Mrs. Stout for her incredible contributions to the Phoenix Family. We are so grateful for the passion, heart, and excellence she brings to our school community.
