#PhoenixFam teachers, Mrs. Campbell & Mrs. Arriola, are at the National Council of Teachers of English Annual Convention in Boston. They were selected to present ideas for fostering learning through cultural literacy, inquiry, arts integration and competency based education.

REMINDER: Tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 5:30 - 6:30, there will be an introductory info meeting for students and their families who are in 8th or 9th grade and considering taking their first AP class next school year. Dr. Hopper, Ms. Tarvin and some of our counselors and DTSOI AP teachers will host. This meeting will be held in the WEST HUB.

Our extended #PhoenixFam members and community are invited to attend our Veterans Day assembly on Nov. 11 at 9:00AM in the PAC.

Due to potential severe weather all AFTER SCHOOL activities are canceled. Any student that would have been participating in an after school activity of any kind needs to make transportation arrangements home.

It’s time for another Phoenix Feature, #PhoenixFam! Today, we’re spotlighting the DTSOI Medical Sciences program!

DTSOI Cross Country had 36 runners PR at the Springdale Invitational! Two #PhoenixFam sophomores set a new school record in the 5K: Philip Lindsley with a time of 16:27 and Pamela Trejo-Ruiz with a time of 19:37!

#PhoenixFam AV Tech & Film students and centenarian Mary Talbert were celebrated Saturday at the premiere of their highly anticipated documentary, "The Timeless Canvas: A Century of Mary Talbert" at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

VIA #PhoenixFam students quickly collected items for hurricane victim relief to be delivered by PAM Transport. We're proud of these students for looking for ways to help!

Our #PhoenixFam Junior Leadership Springdale group is headed out for a day of community outreach. Each year a group of 9th grade students is chosen to represent DTSOI for this experience with the Chamber of Commerce.
