Did you know that science vocabulary plays a huge role in developing language skills? Our multilingual learners have been diving into a unit on habitats—exploring the animals that live in each, the weather conditions they face, and the unique characteristics that help them survive. These conversations are more than just fun—they’re laying the foundation for understanding key biological science concepts! To wrap up our unit, our beginning multilingual learners explored interactive globes featuring animals around the world, toy animal models, and even created stop motion movies featuring the animals we studied. Science and language truly are the perfect pair! #SpringdaleFamily

We love seeing our Wildcats wonder! Students are busy adding their questions and curiosities to our Wonder Walls and we couldn’t be more excited to see their minds in action! Right now, our themes are: 1. Decomposition – inspired by our amazing 5th grade Wildcat Green Team who are diving into responsible recycling! ♻️ 2. Comparing & Contrasting Tunnels – from man-made to natural, our students are digging deep into the differences! 🛤️⛰️ 3. The Wonders of a Root System – exploring what lies beneath and how roots help plants thrive! 🌱 #SpringdaleFamily

Walker Elementary 3rd Graders at AR STEMFest 2025! Our 3rd graders had an incredible time at the 2025 AR STEMFest held at the University of Arkansas this past Friday! From exploring animal specimens and heart ultrasounds to engaging with robots, chemical reactions, experiments, coding, and circuitry—our students were truly immersed in the exciting world of STEM. This experience sparked curiosity and inspired our young minds to think about what they are capable of learning, researching, and creating. We’re so proud of our Wildcat Innovators and can’t wait to see where their ideas and imaginations will take them next! Walker Elementary is the place to be! Shoutout to Our Amazing Team & Chick-fil-A! Twice a month, a dedicated team of our staff comes together to support our students through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This framework helps us review student progress, analyze data, and refine instructional plans to ensure every child gets the support they need to succeed. Our incredible classroom teachers even meet during their lunch period to make this happen—showing just how committed they are to our students! Today, their hard work was made a little sweeter thanks to Chick-fil-A Springdale, who generously provided lunch. We are so grateful for their support and for fueling our team as they continue making a difference! Thank you, Chick-fil-A, and thank you to our amazing staff for your dedication!

We're excited for our Walker Family Dance!
