Our first Parent Participation meeting is Tuesday, September 2nd! There are two opportunities to attend. Tuesday morning at 10am or afternoon at 5:15pm. Both meetings will take place in the lobby. We are very excited to have you in our building. We want to hear your feedback so we can provide meaningful information at future meetings.
This months meeting will focus on the importance of attendance as it pertains to grades & credits and GJHS basics!

GJHS students or their parents will have the opportunity to pick up their student's Chromebook/charger during our Chromebook pick-up event on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the front of school. We will only be handing out Chromebooks to those student's families that have filled out the digital AUA form and do not owe any fees for Chromebook damages. Wrangler Families: As we near the beginning of a new school year, we once again need EVERY student attending GJHS this year to have filled out their Digital Technology Acceptable Usage Agreement (AUA). This AUA allows your student(s) to have access to use a District-issued Chromebook to use for school work and educational purposes during the upcoming school year. We must have this AUA filled out before your student(s) will receive a Chromebook or charger. (NOTE: Any students that owes money for lost chargers or unpaid tech repairs from GJHS or any previous school will not receive their Chromebooks/chargers until they have paid for their tech repairs or charger replacements.) GJHS Cheer just brought home their 9th NCA Regional Cheerleading Camp Championship! Congrats to our GJHS Cheer Team and Coach Davis on their amazing accomplishment! #DestinationGeorge

Our Back-to-School Open Houses will be on Tuesday, August 5th for our 8th grade students and Wednesday, August 6th for our 9th grade students. We will have a parent participation meeting starting at 5:30 on each day, followed by our open house from 6:00 to 7:00. #DestinationGeorge

Starting next Tuesday through Friday we will be doing our ATLAS Testing. Our testing sessions will start in the morning each day and end around lunch time. It is important that all students are present, on time, well-rested, eat a good breakfast, and bring their Chromebooks fully charged and ready to test. Tuesday will be our math test; Wednesday will be our writing test; Thursday will be our reading test; and we will finish with our science test on Friday. - Del martes al viernes próximo, realizaremos las pruebas ATLAS. Las sesiones comenzarán por la mañana todos los días y terminarán alrededor de la hora del almuerzo. Es importante que todos los estudiantes asistan, sean puntuales, hayan descansado bien, desayunen bien y traigan sus Chromebooks con la batería cargada y listas para el examen.
