Wednesday is Early Dismissal Day. Dismissal begins at 1:50 each Wednesday. We will be trying a right turn only out of our school's car rider drive. There will be a Police Officer at the exit onto Cambridge for assistance. Thank you for helping us alleviate traffic congestion.

Tyson Elementary will host our annual Open House & Family Literacy Night next Thursday, August 24th from 5:30-7:00 PM. Here is a schedule for this fun event:
5:30-6:00: Session 1 begins: Visit your child's classroom to meet with their teacher to review goals, expectations/procedures and learn strategies you can use to strengthen their literacy development.
6:00-6:30: Session 2 begins: If you have multiple children attending Tyson, you may visit your other student's classroom to hear from their teacher and learn strategies to support their literacy development. If you do not have multiple students at Tyson, you may go to the cafeteria at this time to eat dinner and pick out two free books.
6:30-7:00- Parents and students will be dismissed from sessions to shop for two free books and eat dinner.
