Wrangler Families: Please join us on Wednesday, May 20th from 11:00 to 1:00 for our GJHS: Get Your Summer Started Drive-thru Event! Everyone is encouraged to come and take part, but this is also a great opportunity to turn in your AMI packets, Chromebooks, library books, or any instruments and uniforms. You can also pick up things that you might have left in your lockers! This school year didn't end like anyone could have imagined. Your Principals, teachers, and the rest of the GJHS faculty would love to see you (while observing social distance guidelines) and help you get your summer started! #WeAreGeorge #THEChoice
Just a quick reminder for students that borrowed a Chromebook for AMI instruction. You can return the Chromebook any day from 8:00 to 4:00 between now and Wednesday, May 20th. Be sure to return both the Chromebook and the charger. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Wranglers: Turn in AMI packets, library books, band instruments, track uniforms and pick up contents from PE, volleyball, football, and basketball lockers. Help us finish the year with all things completed! Turn in or pick up or both. Stay well!
Any current 8th or 9th grader interested in joining the SHS Bulldog Tennis Program for next year should email Coach Moose at dmoose@sdale.org to get signed up.
Wrangler Families: If you borrowed a Chromebook from the school and your student has completed all assignments, you are more than welcome to start returning those back to school between the hours of 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday. Please make sure that you bring both the Chromebook and the charger back with you. If you are still doing work on your Chromebook, please start completing any and all assignments. ALL Chromebooks and chargers must be returned back to school on or before Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Thank you so much!
Wranglers: GJHS XC locker contents will be available Wednesday morning for pick up. Girls Track needs to turn in uniforms. We will have a box in the front lobby for girls track stuff. Thank you for getting those uniforms in and picking up what you left in your lockers!
If you are a student that had AP HuG this year or are planning on taking AP HuG next school year, here is an opportunity that we recommend you take advantage of this summer. Wranglers: Complete your AMI work this week, turn in your chromebooks and start your Summer Vacation! We are here every day from 8 - 4. If you have questions, please call 750-8750. PE and Athletic lockers have been cleaned out, come pick up what is yours. Happy Monday!
Wranglers: The semester will end in 2 weeks. Finish AMI packets or Google Classroom assignments early! Contact your teachers or bring your work to GJHS by May 15. Teachers can get grades to you before summer break. Use this opportunity to improve your grades for second semester.
Wrangler BAND: Instrument drop-off is today until 6 pm in the band room. Please go around the building to the back entrance of the band room to drop-off your instrument and say Hello to your directors! Happy Friday!
Wranglers: Are you reading every day? If you have finished the library books you checked out way back in March, please put them in the blue container in front of GJHS. You cannot pick up your scheduled next year if you have over due books. Turn in your library books! Thanks
Wrangler Families: Both boys and girls PE lockers have been cleaned out. Please come to the main entrance of GJHS and collect your items that were left. Athletes need to contact their coaches. Thanks
Wrangler Families: So proud of our Wranglers and how they have been communicating with their teachers, completing and turning in work from the AMI packets, either on paper or online, and being responsible to their families during this difficult time. Finish Strong Wranglers!!
The Drive thru pantry available for the last time, Monday May 11th from 3 to 7pm! Anybody can drive up during those times. They will also have free coffee available.
May is Better Hearing and Speech Month! We are so thankful at George for Mrs. Reed and the way she works hard for our students.
Wrangler Families: Reminder about turning in AMI packets days 1-30 and picking up 31-45. Pick up clothing from PE lockers, Volleyball and other athletic programs. Check with coaches about times for pick up. Finish strong Wranglers. We almost have 100% turn in rate on packets!
Today is National Teacher Day! We are so appreciative of all of our teachers and faculty! These past few months have been a huge change for everyone. Our teachers quickly and efficiently monitored and adjusted their styles of teaching to help better serve our students. This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week. We want to wish Mrs. Eads a very Happy Principal's Day! Thank you for all your leadership and direction this school year, but especially these past several weeks as we have had to deal with something that no one could have ever expected We appreciate you so much!
