Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature at school. Outdoor classrooms allow for development and application of math and science in an outdoor setting as well as increases physical and mental health. Being surrounded by nature creates awareness and a sense of responsibility for their environment.
Outdoor classrooms in the Springdale School District all available at all building levels, with most being in the elementary schools. Our outdoor gardens feature collaboration spaces, butterfly gardens, and plants that are native to Arkansas.
