Community Partnerships

Northwest Arkansas is one of the fastest growing areas in the United States because of its incredible business climate. Companies from the largest to mid-size to smaller ones offer amazing support to the Springdale Public School District.

When the Don Tyson School of Innovation Robotics Team was selected to represent the United States at the Global Competition in Dubai, Tyson Foods, Pace Industries, the Springdale Rotary Club and others donated the funds to make the trip possible.

Representatives of J.B. Hunt’s technology team work weekly with students in the Springdale High School IT Academy to prepare them for National Cyber Security competition. J.B. Hunt, Walmart and Tyson Foods partner with the SHS IT Academy in several endeavors and have employed students from the program as interns in their IT departments.

Local banks and insurance companies are among active community partners as are Harp’s Foodstores and Sam’s Furniture. Springdale Schools even partner with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals’ AA baseball club on an annual Back to School Event. The Springdale Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual Welcome Back to School Event for teachers and gathers gifts from area businesses worth thousands of dollars to present to the teachers and administrators.
