As a proud graduate of Springdale Schools, having attended from kindergarten through 12th grade, I’m especially passionate about contributing to the continued excellence of our district and helping Sonora Elementary SOI students and staff succeed," Guzman said. "I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Regina Stewman for entrusting me with this role, and I look forward to serving alongside her, supporting our students and staff, and learning from her leadership."

Guzman is transitioning to Sonora Elementary SOI from John Tyson Elementary, where she’s served as an Instructional Facilitator for the past five years. She’s worked as an educator for 8 years, serving as a kindergarten teacher as well.

Sonora Elementary SOI Principal Regina Stewman said Guzman’s leadership will lead the Sonora school community into its next chapter of innovation and excellence.

"We are thrilled to welcome Naomi Guzman as the new assistant principal of Sonora Elementary School of Innovation! Naomi brings a heart for service, a mind for systems, and a passion for empowering both students and staff," said Regina Stewman. "Her commitment to student agency, equity, and collaborative leadership aligns beautifully with Sonora’s mission and vision. With her experience in instructional coaching, building strong PLCs, and fostering a culture of growth."

Her extensive background in curriculum and instruction will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students, contributing to a strong and enriching academic environment," said Superintendent Jared Cleveland.

Guzman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas.

"I hope to bring a strong sense of collaboration, positivity, and a deep commitment to student growth—both academically and personally," Guzman said. "My goal is to support and empower our teachers and staff, partner with families, and help create a school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential."

She expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to serve at Sonora Elementary School of Innovation.

"I am deeply grateful to Dr. Jared Cleveland, Dr. Marcia Smith, Shannon Tisher, Melissa Fink, Kendra Clay, the entire Springdale leadership team, and the School Board for granting me this opportunity," Guzman said. "I am honored and ready to serve the Sonora Elementary School of Innovation community with dedication, integrity, and enthusiasm."
