Alison Hoffman Ashworth will serve as Springdale Public Schools’ new academic and administrative accountability coordinator.
“I'm excited and eager to take on this new role,” Ashworth said.
Ashworth is transitioning to the position from Hellstern Middle School, where she’s served as a counselor for 12 years. She’s worked in education for 16 years, 13 of which with Springdale Public Schools.
Ashworth’s new position will be at the district level, and she’ll have the opportunity to work with all school buildings.
“In my new role, I hope to foster collaboration between buildings to support and develop systems that contribute to consistency and continuous improvement across the district,” Ashworth said.
Dr. Marcia Smith, Springdale Public Schools deputy superintendent, said she’s excited to welcome Ashworth to her new role.
“Mrs. Ashworth’s experience with Springdale Schools and her heart for collaboration are invaluable to the district,” Smith said. “I’m looking forward to seeing Springdale Schools’ continued growth and development with her at the helm of district academic and administrative accountability.”
Ashworth holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, a master's in community and school counseling from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and an Education Specialist degree from the Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
She lives in Fayetteville with her husband, Billy and two children, Gabe and Ava.
“I enjoy being outdoors and traveling,” she said.
