Regular monthly School Board meetings are held at 5 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the District Administration Building at 804 W. Johnson Ave.

Celebrating Lakeside Junior High School
Lakeside Junior High School Principal Michael Shepherd shared that the school has earned the Solution Tree Promising Practices designation.
Earning the Promising Practices designation is evidence that Lakeside Junior High School's efforts are having a significant impact on both student achievement and professional growth.

Ben Thompson, Walker Elementary School Assistant Principal
Ben Thompson is the new assistant principal at Walker Elementary School.
Thompson is transitioning to Walker from Hellstern Middle School, where he’s served as an assistant principal for seven years. He’s worked as an educator for 11 years, seven of which with Springdale Schools.

Yolonda Mahan, Archer Learning Center Assistant Administrator
Yolanda Mahan is now serving as the assistant administrator at Archer Learning Center.
Mahan is transitioning from working as an instructional facilitator at Archer, where she served for 10 years. She has 32 years of experience in education.

Karen Johnson, Hellstern Middle School Principal
Karen Johnson is the principal of Hellstern Middle School.
Johnson is transitioning from Southwest Junior High School, where she served as an assistant principal for seven years. She has 20 years of experience in education.

Michael Tapee, Don Tyson School of Innovation Assistant Principal
Michael Tapee is an assistant principal at Don Tyson School of Innovation.
Tapee is transitioning from instructional facilitator at Central Junior High School, where he served for one year. He has nine years of experience in education at Springdale Public Schools. For the first eight years of his career, he taught at Hellstern Middle School, teaching sixth-grade math. He also co-founded and coached the Herobotics competitive robotics teams.

Emma Clay, Southwest Junior High School Assistant Principal
Emma Clay is serving as the assistant principal of Southwest Junior High School.
Clay is transitioning from working as an instructional facilitator at Southwest, where she served for three years. She has nine years of experience in education at Springdale Public Schools. For the first six years of her career, she taught fifth grade at Walker Elementary School.

Coach Jeffrey Williams, Springdale Public Schools Athletics Director
Springdale Public Schools welcomed Jeffrey David Williams as the new athletic director for the area of the distrcit that supports Har-Ber High School.
With an impressive 28-year career in education and athletics, Coach Williams transitions to Springdale from Siloam Springs, where he’s spent the last four-and-a-half years. His previous experience includes eight years at El Dorado, 15 years at Fort Smith Southside High School and time serving Pea Ridge.

Wendy Roark, Pre-K Special Education Coordinator
Wendy Roark is serving as the Springdale Pre-K special education coordinator.
Roark is transitioning from her role as the lead speech language pathologist at Springdale Public Schools, where she has served for nine years. She has 23 years of experience in education, with 18 of those years at Springdale Public Schools. She has served as the building speech pathologist at Lee Elementary School, George Junior High School, Sonora Middle School and Jones Elementary School. She's also had the opportunity to travel to many other Springdale schools in support of speech language pathologists and providing caseload overages.

Alison Ashworth, Academic and Administrative Accountability Coordinator
Alison Hoffman Ashworth is Springdale Public Schools’ new academic and administrative accountability coordinator.
Ashworth is transitioning to the position from Hellstern Middle School, where she’s served as a counselor for 12 years. She’s worked in education for 16 years, 13 of which with Springdale Public Schools.
