Early Childhood Education (Pre-K)

Our youngest students learn how social norms and how to get along with others. The Pre-kindergarten environment teaches students how to self regulate, learn social and emotional aspects, and academics. With a certified teacher in each classroom, students practice conscious discipline, a curriculum that teaches social and emotional behaviors that will carry through their educational career. Students participate in play-based learning and are encouraged to have a voice and a choice.

Pre-K is held at two main buildings, the Early Childhood Center and in the Childers Knapp Elementary Pre-K wing. Throughout the school district, there are 73 Pre-K classrooms and the district has served over 1400 students.
