JOANN Fabrics and Crafts has developed a partnership with Jones Elementary through the Kids in Need Foundation. The company has donated school supplies and crafts to Jones but went over and above by providing 554 masks for each of Jones' students. The masks were hand stitched by 16 employees who devoted 200 hours to the project. Each student was able to choose his or her own mask. Thank you JOANN Fabrics and Crafts! #THEChoice
Jax Nalley is one of seven Springdale Public School District National Merit Semifinalists. He is a senior at Har-Ber High School. He says, "I'm look at the University of Arkansas, Duke, Vanderbilt and Dartmouth. I'm super excited about this because it validates years of study. We started in boot camp in junior high and we bought books to help study for the PSAT. It's crazy to think i'm a senior now."

The 41st Annual Springdale Schools Band Car Wash was a huge success! 1,000 cars were washed and vacuumed! Thank you to Speedy Splash for supporting our Band Programs.
Kayley Gawf is one of seven Springdale Public School District National Merit Semifinalists. She is a senior at Har-Ber High School. She says, "I was super surprised and excited because there are so few National Merit Semifinalists. This is a reward for a lot of hard work. Baylor is the only school I was able to visit before COVID prevented other visits. Baylor has a good pre-med program and I want to go into the field of medicine."
Pedro Manon is one of seven Springdale Public School District National Merit Semifinalists. He is a senior at Har-Ber High School. He says, "MIT is my goal. I want to study computer science and MIT is the best in the world. I will try to get there through Questbridge but also will try the normal application process. This shows hard work pays off. It's still hard to believe I'm a senior, though. That hasn't really hit me yet."

Young Elementary principal Christy Norwood and assistant principal Stacey Plumlee thank Matt Lewis for providing signage and a new large stapler through a Lewis Ford program that has benefitted 40 local teachers and schools in Northwest Arkansas. "We are a family owned business that has been in Northwest Arkansas for 70 years and we enjoy giving back to our community. We love to help schools and education because their students may be our future employees." #THEChoice.
We are going to kick off our first ACT Boot Camp of the year THIS SATURDAY (9/19)! If you are taking the October ACT this boot camp would be the PERFECT opportunity for you to learn some test taking strategies and review content that you will see on the test.
Patrick Kingston is one of seven Springdale Public School District National Merit Semifinalists. He is a senior at Har-Ber High School. He says, "This feels really good. We took the PSAT test a couple times during my freshman and sophomore years. We did a lot of test preparation. This is exciting and means a lot. My dream school is Columbia University. My backup plan would be the University of Arkansas."

Collin Thompson is one of seven Springdale Public School District National Merit Semifinalists. She is a senior at Har-Ber High School. She says, "This is proof of how hard I have worked throughout my academic career. It is a validation of hard work. I am not sure about where I will go to college yet. I am interested in the University of Arkansas, Vanderbilt and Duke."

Trey Bowerman is one of seven Springdale Public School District National Merit Semifinalists. He is a senior at Har-Ber High School. He says, "I didn't see this coming. I still can't believe I made it. It was a lot of work and I think I did well, but it's still hard to believe I am a National Merit Semifinalist. I have applied to go to school at Oxford University in England. If that doesn't work out I will likely attend the University of Arkansas."
Noah Livingston is one of seven Springdale Public School District National Merit Semifinalists. He is a senior at Har-Ber High School. He says, "I have been working a long time for this. It is a great honor. Har-Ber has a great atmosphere for learning and I love the students and teachers here. I am doing the paperwork to apply for admission to one of the military academies. All three of them are great."
