Don Tyson school of innovation continues to make national impact! Avanti came to Don Tyson to film up to 20 teachers in the classroom and interview them about the instructional strategies they use. Don Tyson is being showcased because of their High Reliability School certification and the instructional content been adding to their website : Avanti is being designed by educators, for educators and will have thousands of videos at the individual strategy level, complete with three takeaway reproducibles designed to help teachers grow and learn in an online community. The Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy is a certification that recognizes students who demonstrate proficiency in English and another language 🏆. It is awarded by two state organizations; the Arkansas Teachers of English to Students of Other Languages and the Arkansas Foreign Language Teachers Association. Since the Seal’s initiation in 2017, 5,553 World Language students have been awarded. Almost one-third of these students come from Springdale Public Schools 🥇as we continue to lead the state with a total of 1,514. With the 77 students being recognized today, the total number of Springdale High School students who have earned the Arkansas Seal to date is 643 ✨. We are celebrating our first student to earn the Seal in Vietnamese, and SHS continues to have the most students certified in Marshallese; that is 37 out of 48 students. 🎊 #SpringdaleFamily

Shawna Estep, Crowder College Veterinary Technology Program Director, spoke to the Har-Ber veterinary science classes today about career opportunities as a veterinary technician, taught the classes how to put on surgical gloves, demonstrated how to use the ultrasound machine, and guided the students in proper bandaging techniques. #SpringdaleFamily

Harp Elementary first-grader Holland Voss and her mother, Caitlyn, presented school IT manager Andrew Brownfield with a gift basket filled with his favorite treats today at a school awards assembly. The snacks were given as a thank you to Brownfield, who saved Holland from choking April 5 when she was eating her lunch #SpringdaleFamily

CONGRATS MADISON! Madison Stamps, 2017 Har-Ber graduate, recently learned that she has been accepted into the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean. Madison was a member of the Har-Ber veterinary science CDE team for two years, took all of her animal science classes, and worked at Davis Animal Hospital in Springdale. She will be moving to the Caribbean this weekend to start her classes next week. #SpringdaleFamily is proud!

Har-Ber students in the poultry and animal science classes had the opportunity to tour the NewlyWeds Foods facility in Springdale. The students learned about the various levels of career opportunities within the company from the two food scientists that lead the tour. The students also heard about opportunities from the University of Arkansas Food Science department. #SpringdaleFamily
