Getting outdoors and learning something new! Hellstern Middle School partnered with the Washington County Sheriff to put on the largest fishing derby in the state. Students are fishing at Shaw Park, and for many of them, it is their first time. Teachers, officers, and volunteers were on hand to help out. Thank you for the Washington Co. Sheriff’s office and Springdale Police for supporting this event. #SpringdaleFamily

Today is Junior Achievement Day at Walker Elementary. Every classroom was visited by one of our community partners who taught students about financial literacy. #SpringdaleFamily

Current and former Central Junior High School staff and students gathered to share memories and to say goodbye to the school’s current building March 14 at a symbolic lights-out ceremony. The 48-year-old school will be destroyed in the coming weeks as students go on to learn in the school’s neighboring, newly developed building. #SpringdaleFamily

What is Bake for Good? Bake for Good is King Arthur Baking Company’s free outreach program for students in grades 4 through 12. There are three goals: learn, bake, and share. Students learn the math and science of making bread from scratch. Every student receives supplies from King Arthur that they need to bake the bread recipe at home. The recipe makes two loaves. Our Tigers will get to keep one loaf and share one loaf with someone in need or as an act of kindness. King Arthur Baking Company sent a representative from Utah to lead the baking demonstration today at John Tyson Elementary.

SAVE THE DATE for Lights out at Central Junior High For decades, Central Junior High has been the heart and soul of our school community. It has witnessed countless moments of learning, laughter, and growth. Now, as we transition into a state-of-the-art new facility, it's time to say goodbye to the memories held within these walls and embrace the promise of the future. ALL are welcome to join as we gather to commemorate the legacy of the old Central Junior High building and symbolically turn out its lights one last time. It's a moment of reflection, gratitude, and excitement for the journey ahead. There will be an open house of the old Central Junior High building so that the community has an opportunity to see it as it is one last time. There will be some students there to support and the CJHS choir will sing the Alma mater as we turn the lights out one last time. People will be able to chisel or purchase a commemorative brick to keep for $25. Hope you will come out! #SpringdaleFamily
