Springdale Public Schools would like to say Thank You!

We have the opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation for the dedicated individuals who tirelessly and voluntarily serve on school boards across the state throughout
January for Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month.
These committed leaders play a crucial role in shaping the future of education and ensuring the success of our students.
What random skill do you have that isn’t well known or common?
“I like woodworking, welding and working on cars as hobbies.”

We are lifelong learners in Springdale Schools!
Instructional Facilitators Betsy Wright (Walker Elementary), Jess Wynn (Rollins School of Innovation), Emma Clay (Southwest Junior High), Melissa Smith and Rae Couch (both Springdale High School) attended the Instructional Coaching Institute in Lawrence, Kansas. The Institute is conducted by Dr. Jim Knight and researchers with The Instructional Coaching Group, providing valuable insight into coaching educators for engagement and achievement. Thank you, facilitators, for growing your learning and supporting our #SpringdaleFamily!

What advice would you give your younger self?
“Don't be such a rule follower, and be willing to take chances and fail.”

Chance Duncan, a science teacher from Russellville, visited fifth-graders at Rollins School of Innovation. He brought live animals, including endangered snakes that he and his class have bred. Duncan reproduced the endangered Louisiana Pine Snake in his classroom over a few years with his students. He brought those snakes to the school and talked about the process they went through to make that happen and tie it into our standards on ecosystems. #SpringdaleFamily
