Both band programs are award-winning programs with an unyielding commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. As both programs grow to serve more students and families, these trucks and trailers will allow these programs to safely transport uniforms, instruments, and other equipment to performances and competitions with pride. A special thank you to all who made this possible.

Arkansas Representative Steve Unger and Arkansas Senator Clint Penzo worked with teachers and district leaders at Monitor Elementary School and Sonora Middle School to learn the PLC (Professional Learning Community) process. They sat down at the tables with the teachers and went through the process, learning about educational strategy, and how each teacher takes ownership of every kid in the school. The professional learning communities will provide educators with time to work together to focus on student achievement and data that shows which students are progressing academically and which may need additional support. “A key to student success is fostering great teachers,” said Jared Cleveland, Springdale Public Schools Superintendent. “Teachers thrive in an environment that cultivates a community of learners where individuals can collaborate and try new ideas in a safe and supportive environment.” #SpringdaleFamily

#SpringdaleFamily,
Just a friendly reminder we are no longer allowed to count AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) days toward the state-required 178 student instruction days. If school is canceled due to a weather event, the day will be added to the end of the school year.
Solo un recordatorio amistoso: ya no podemos contar los días AMI (métodos alternativos de instrucción) para los 178 días de instrucción estudiantil requeridos por el estado. Si la escuela se cancela debido a un evento climático, el día se agregara al final del año escolar.
