John Tyson Elementary held a Veterans Day program today to celebrate all Veterans. Fourth grade students sang songs and our third grade EAST students compiled a presentation honoring the Veterans at our school and of the friends and family of our school family.
We were so proud to honor the Veterans who could attend today. Fourth grade students will perform our Veterans Day program again for family, friends, and Veterans on Monday, November 14th, at 6:00 PM.

DTSOI and Springdale High School competed against each other and 4 other NWA high schools in the first culinary competition of the year.
The competition was focused on flavor and each school's team crafted a soup, salad, and sandwich in just 2 hours. SHS made a cheesy jalapeño empanada, spicy Chipotle tomato soup, and a Mexican coleslaw. SOI made a potato leek soup, a mixed green salad with a blueberry reduction and a hand breaded spicy chicken sandwich.
Each team of three worked hard practicing and preparing for today, Chef Rickard and Ms. Harlan are so proud and looking forward to the competitions that follow.
Way to go! #SpringdaleFamily
